The seam embellishment for 100 details for 100 days Day 71 starts off with a row of Herringbone stitches. These stitches are worked in a hand dyed thread that is the same thickness as DMC pearl #5.
The next row of Chevron stitch is worked over the Herringbone stitches. I used a light blue cotton perle #5 thread. The Chevron stitches are spaced so that the top bars or each stitch fall between the Herringbone stitches.
Using a gold thread, a cluster of three Detached chain stitches is placed on the top bars of the Chevron. At the base of these stitches are some seed beads.
