Stitches:
This seam is embellished with a line of laced herringbone stitch which I have used to couch down some ribbon. Detached chin stitches are placed along the top of the ribbon.
Thread:
Perle thread #5 for the herringbone which has been laced with a fine metallic braid. The brown detached chain stitches are worked in a rayon thread.
Placement on block:
On block 15 this seam runs along the edge of piece 5
Ribbon
The ribbon is ordinary satin ribbon that was found in remnant bag.
