Stitches
This band of stitching is made up of two lines of curved chain stitch. In the dips of the curve I have worked three detached chain stitches. Each cluster of three stitches had a seed bead stitched at the base. I then added a Farago rose which is worked in silk ribbon
Thread
Both threads are hand dyed cotton perle #8 thread. The silk ribbon was also dyed by me.
Fabric:
Linda, 27cnt evenweave fabric produced by Zweigart
Dyes:
Procion dyes for the cotton thread and the silk ribbon

This section of the sampler was worked in November 2007.
Size:
The For Love of Stitching Band Sampler is 15 cm (6 inches) wide. It consists of different strips of fabric which are are stitched together to form one long strip. It currently measures 24.8 yards or 22.75 metres long and I have more bands to add.
