Crazy quilt seam decoration:
This detail on block 39 is a seam has a foundation of tied herringbone which has been decorated with straight stitches worked in a metallic thread.
White seed beads have been nested in the cross bars of the herringbone stitches.
Thread:
The herringbone stitch is worked in perle cotton #5 and tied with perle cotton #5.
The metallic thread is DMC
