This is an embellished seam on block 63 of the I dropped the Button Box Quilt.
The seam is first covered with a braid then along the edge of the seam I worked little flower motifs made up of straight stitches, cast on stitches and detached chain stitches. I used a hand dyed silk thread that is the same thickness as cotton peril #5. The flowers were completed with a little gold bead.
The seam is in the corner and on the other side of the braid I place two buttons.
