Work in Progress Wednesdays

Work on progress ready for beadsI feel this a repeat of last week as life is still very busy here but I did manage to get to the stage where I am about to start adding beads. I always do most of the embroidery first then add beads buttons etc  Anyway that is where I am at – if you click on the photo you will see a larger version

What have you done this week towards your stitching goals?

Leave a comment and let us know.
As a side note for those interested in the mini challenge:

The idea is that people design their own sewing caddy or hussif in any style of quilting or embroidery. The is no deadline.  I presented some informal guidelines here.
One of the challenges this year on CrazyQuilting International is to create a hussif you may want to combine the two challenges. If you are a crazy quilter and working a hussif dont forget my give away tutorial on how to work decorative crazy quilt seams

Work in Progress Wednesday

Life is still very busy here (as per usual) but I did manage to do a little more stitching so I thought I would share what is on my hoop. As you can see I am half way through doing woven zig zag chain over the ric rac that is just below the doily – it takes an age!Hussif work in progress photo What have you done this week that takes you towards your stitching goals? Work in Progress Wednesday

Ha I am feeling self satisfied today as I have something to report. I have had time to do some hand embroidery on the pockets for my hussif!

Hussif sewing caddy pocket

This is the pocket that will hold a small pair of embroidery scissors. If you are viewing this on a computer you will probably be seeing it larger than life.

I am not sure if I shared this with you but it is a pocket for the stencils which are also done. Click on it for  larger view

As a side note for those interested in the min challenge: A hussif is a sewing roll or sewing kit or caddy but I gave a more detailed answer here . The idea is that people design their own hussifs. Any style of  quilting or embroidery is acceptable just make your hussif the hussif you have always wanted to own!  The is no deadline but aim for quality or give yourself a space for experimentation not simply tick off another project.  I presented some informal guidelines here .
