More Information – Stitchers Templates set 2

Crazy Quilt Templates set 2 ebookAs a stitcher who loves crazy quilting, I designed this second set of templates with fellow stitchers in mind. I have aimed to create a set of templates that could be as versatile as possible.

Many of the shapes in this set are ideal for floral designs to use in your embroidery projects but these same shapes can also be used for bead embroidery too.

With my Stitchers Templates Set 2, you are able to create hundreds of different patterns to embroider on your crazy quilting projects. They are easy to use, and they are made of clear plastic so you can position them easily and they are compact – just the right size to fit in your sewing box.

To show how the templates could be used, I wrote an ebook and drafted out lots of patterns. It’s free when you purchase the templates. The link to your free ebook is sent to your email once you purchase the templates.

Using the templates is easy. Just position the template and hold it firmly with one hand, then use a quilter’s pencil to trace along the edge of the template to create the pattern.

using my Crazy Quilt Templates set 2

I am sure once you start using my templates you will think of many more designs!

There are a number of different curved lines that allow you to create many organic type designs. They are ideal for floral sprays and the like. This type of motif is an obvious way to use the curved linear elements but not so obvious is that you can also use them to create frames and other types of flourishes in your work.

When I designed the templates I thought in terms of having enough space to tuck my favourite stitches, beads, small floral lace motifs and favourite silk ribbon embroidery flowers into the spaces in the patterns produced. Here is a sneak peek inside the ebook:

Crazy Quilt Templates set 2 ebook pageSince the templates are clear this also makes them easy to flip over and create a mirrored pattern. This aspect of their design adds tremendous versatility to their use.

Crazy Quilt Templates set 2 ebook pageUsing the shapes found on the edge of each template you can create numerous seam embellishments.

A key feature of these templates is that you will find a number of curves and flourishes, which you can use to build the stems and vines of floral motifs.

I have kept the templates small so that they fit easily into a sewing box. That way, if you are travelling to a workshop or to a local stitching get-together, you are not cluttering up your supplies with large templates. And to ensure the highest quality, the templates are made in Australia.

  1. Years (many decades, aamof) of fascination of CQ and still haven’t done anything, except get some interesting fabrics.

Alas, celebrated my 80th two daze (smile) ago …

Thank you for all you share – and know that you are appreciated.

  2. Oh Wow, I must have been living under a rock but really I am new to crazy quilting. I love these two sets of templates and I can just imagine the wonderful designs I would be able to make.

  3. Hi Sharon,
I would like to order both template sets.
I added both sets to my cart, and the ship cost is 18.
Is that correct? Can you combine postage? I have read through some of the comments above, and I am a little confused. I live in the USA.

By the way, I just clicked through to Amazon to order your book.
    Thank you so much!

  4. Hi Sharon! I’ve got both sets of your templates in my PenPal shopping cart but I was wondering if you are able to group them so I only have to pay one postage fee?

Also, I want to buy your book. Are you able to sell your book directly rather than through Amazon? I want you to be able to get as much profit from your book as possible.

    Thanks so much!

And yes, I should have watched your explanatory video about the templates MUCH sooner so I could see how useful they are–especially for folks like me who can’t even draw decent stick figures. The templates will make it so easy to create “custom” patterns for me to follow when I learn embroidery!

    1. HI Barb I will email you but quickly – yes I refund excess postage. If you click on the book link in the side bar (or anywhere you see it on my site) It goes to Amazon and yes I get affiliate payments. Thanks so much of thinking of it I appreciate it.

      1. Thank you Sharon,
I received the e-mail and the templates. Thank you kindly.

I am learning crazy quilting techniques and found your book ‘the Visual Guide to Crazy Quilting design’ an excellent guide. It is easy to follow, the principles of design are logically explained supported / illustrated by well set up examples. I appreciate the systematic and rational training methodology applied throughout the book. it seems I am reading a user manual. 🙂

  7. I’d love to order both sets, but was hoping to combine them for one shipping price (to the US) How can I do that? Your idea for the stitching templates is brilliant! I’ve been slow to take up crazy quilting because of my inability to figure out how to keep things consistant: this answers the problem! Thanks!

  8. Sharon:

I have a birthday coming up soon. My daughter asked me where I want to go on a trip. I want to stay home and embroider. So I just sent her two links so she can order both sets of your templates for me and maybe I’ll have her order the book too. So who needs a trip!!!

I purchased set one on 03.01.16, and have not heard from you. I wonder if it might be a glitch on your website preventing my purchase showing up. I have emailed you directly in more detail. Hope to hear from you soon.

  10. Hi Sharon, I also am interested in buying both sets of templates. I noticed someone else asked but I don’t think the question was answered, do you combine shipping if they are both bought at the same time? And how much? Can’t buy until after Christmas, as I have been making quilts for all my family (25) and all my money is going towards finishing them up. Love the templates and really love your work. It’s just beautiful!!!

    1. Judy – Unfortunately the shipping charges go up if I combine them – since they are are flat package they can go at letter parcel rate – if I pack two together they become a parcel and Australia post charges me more for parcel than a letter parcel and the two together cost more than two posted individually. I don’t understand the logic but it works out that if you want 2 sets it is cheaper individually.

    Bien cordialement. Martine.

  13. Hello Sharon. I purchased a set of #2 templates through Paypal this morning. It said the session had expired and that I had not been charged, so I repeated the process. Now I have received an email to confirm purchases x 2. Would you please remove the last entry. Thank you. Sorry to be a pain.
I’m looking forward to receiving and using these new templates.
