4000 Years of Miniature Books

Miniature books have always delighted me and others down through the centuries. This online exhibit of Miniature Books had me totally charmed. Some are less than 8 centimeters (3 inches) tall. This is a selection from Lilly Library, Indiana University, where they house a collection of 16,000 miniatures, dating from 2000 B.C. People have created miniatures for a long time. I was delighted to discover a tiny Babylonian cuneiform tablet, ca. 2047-2039 B.C. and a miniature book of hours.
