100 details for 100 days Day 65

Day 65
This seam embellishment started off with a piece of ribbon which I couched down using Herringbone stitch. Using bugle beads I then picked out the V shapes made by the herringbone.

At the top of the Herringbone is a detached chain with a long tail. This ‘tail’ is simply the stitch that ties the chain down worked longer than normal. A seed bead has been added to the straight stitches that are either side of it

The row of stitching near the butterfly is zig zag chain with seed beads stitched in the middle of the chains.

The braid embellishment is three straight stitches topped off with seed beads.

A big friendly wave to Allison Aller who is back on deck after a death in the family and she is stitching. Check out her blog to see what she is doing.

Annie Whitsed of Annies Crazy World has featured more seams on her red dress and is busy waiting for the pages of altered books to dry.

Debbie of Needle Lil More Time to Sew has highlighted a Christmas wreath she stitched in bullion knots.

May of Abyquilt has made a heart and used the 100 details in a 100 series as a source of inspiration

Murial has also worked some more details.

Pam Kellogg of Kitty & Me Designs has provided another fractal design which people can print out on fabric with an ink jet printer.

For anyone who has been following this series you may be interested in the online classes I announced last week.

This series of posts is listed under 100 details for 100 days in this blog. Over on Flickr it is associated with the Crazyquilting Group and photos are tagged 100detailsin100days
