If you like seeing how other artists and designers use a visual journal you will enjoy this blog. Treats and treasures is a site of Dutch designer Marieke Berghuis which houses spreads from her visual journal, notes & doodles.
This is obviously a site into which all sorts of ideas and notes are tossed, left to compost down and become the rich matter of which creative projects become.
If you are wanting to start a visual journal but hesitant to do so because you feel it has to be an “art journal” do take a look at this. It is a real visual journal not contrived to be anything else, catching all the mundane elements that make up everyday life.
