Sharon, this is the first time I think I’ve understood how these Chinese button knots are actually made. I’ve seen diagrams, and thought they looked so complicated that it was easier to drive to Spotlight to buy a pre-packed frog with a button knot type closure than try to make one to match a garment for a client. Wish I had seen this years ago, will hunt out some cord to sit and have a try later today. Thanks for finding this one, I can also see some interesting embellishment possibilities in this.
