BBC Quoted me!

BBC Quoted me!

I was rolling around the floor laughing this morning not because I was quoted by BBC News but what in a long conversation was chosen to quote. The BBC has run a piece on water usage in Australia and I was quoted.

The statement was made during an interview with Caroline Holmes for BBC radio 4 about how we re-established the garden after the fires .

The interview with Caroline Holmes is not online yet as it will not be aired until May 20th but the programe details are here. (I will remind people when a podcast is available)

On another note but on topic I have another diamond block complete. In my last work in progress report I showed some dark blocks as you can see this one is a mid tone. To put this in context you can tack back on this project at my declaration of UFOs and WISPs at the start of this year. As usual if you click on the image you can go to a larger version.

  1. Hello Sharon,
    I’m write from Türkiye…

    ATATURK’S TRIBUTE

    ——————————————————————————–

These words were said by President Attaturk, the founder of modern Turkey, who, in World War I, as Colonel Mustafa Kemal, led the Turkish forces facing the Australians.

    ——————————————————————————–

Those heroes that shed their blood and lost their lives….
You are now lying in the soil of a friendly country therefore rest in peace.
There is no difference between the Johnnies and the Mehmets to us where they lie side by side here in this country of ours….
    You, the mothers
Who sent their sons from far away countries wipe away your tears; your sons are now lying in our bosom and are in peace after having lost their lives on this land they have become our sons as well.

  2. Hi Sharon,I must Thankyou for sharing your experience with the fire and its aftermath. As you say on the post with the quilt,The Pain is what is left behind.I had a similar experience whn the ’04 Tsunami came into our house in Kalpakkam, near Chennai.I used to wonder which was more traumatic, perishing in the wave or being left behind to pickup the pieces, not being able to let go of your plans or dreams.40 people died in our community;atleast 10 of them were personally known to us.The most tragic is not knowing if you should grieve for a lost child;or feel relieved, her mother, who is a close friend, was miraculously saved. Thanks for suggesting a way out thruogh Craft.
