Stitches:
This seam is made up of Cretan stitch laced with chenille thread and further decorated by tulip stitch which is made up of detached chain stitch with two stitches slipped through the tie that ties down the chain stitch.
Thread:
DMC perle thread 5 for the Cretan stitch and tulip stitch. The Cretan stitch is laced with chenille thread.
Placement and Foundation Fabric:
This seam is between piece 4 and piece 5. The fabric and diagram used have been discussed when I introduced block 2.
Buttons and charms
The blue button is a vintage button that I received in a swap and the small happy face charm was given to me by Eve my daughter.
