Band description:
This band is another variation on basic buttonhole stitch. Sorry about the slight tilt! The stitching is of course straight on the sampler.
Fabric and Thread:
The sample is worked on Aida fabric. The thread is a hand dyed mercerised cotton thread which is about the same weight and thickness as perle 8
Size:
The sampler is 15 cm (6 inches) wide and all sections are stitched together in one long band sampler.
The sampler is currently 44 ft 5 inches or 533 inches (1353.83 centimetres) or 14.8 yards (13.53 metres) long and still being added to.
Date:
This section of the sampler was finished in December 2005.

Yes I have made a mistake – there are two 169s – I guess we with have to call them 169a and 169b – what a pain! Nevermind …
I hope I am not going mad, and I hope you are not going mad either, but I am seeing two bands with the number 169. They are different stitches so it isn’t even that I have read or copied the same one twice.
Please put me out of this misery.
