The smallest stop-motion animation character knits!

“Dot” is a  9-mm-tall figure that runs through a magical world made up of a piece of fabric that has begun to unravel. The film has broken the Guinness World Record for being the smallest stop-motion animation character in a film.

Animators at Aardman Animations in the UK, speak about how they made the film and how the new technology used to make the film allows doctors in rural areas to take photos of blood samples and transmit them via cell phone to laboratories anywhere in the world.

Both films are really worth watching.

  1. Sharon, WOW, where do you find these fantastic articles? This one is just so clever, I love the ending. It takes me back to my kids' own simple efforts with some lego and stop-go motion filming many years ago, VBG.
I think the technology used is just the most amazing tool for remote diagnosis of illnessess. Thanks so much for posting this, I'm going to post a link on my blog today.
