I have done a little tidy up on Pintangle as one thing I want to do is to provide better index pages. There are a lot of resources on this site but people cant find them!
I have a tutorial section which provides links to tutorials and reviews I have written over the years. I have not added the TAST stitches as they are already listed on the TAST FAQ page. Do people think I should list them under tutorials too?
I have also added another section of Free Embroidery Patterns. These are patterns I gave a way they are all together now and people can just browse back through those.
I hope this is useful for readers as I am aware that most people dont use the search box. Let me know as its silly creating these pages if no one uses the top tabs on the website!
I use both, Sharon, and I am grateful for all the work you put into this site, as always.
Barbara
I use the top tabs AND the search. Thank you for them.
The organization is great, Sharon. Very useful and helpful, even for me–already familiar with Pintangle over several years. I think since you started it. I first met you at Inaminuteago and I’ve taken three courses with you.
I just want to say “thank you”, and let you know how much I appreciate all the time and work you put in to your outstanding web compendium of stitches, references, and other comprehensive information regarding fibers and fiber art. I rarely leave comments and only spottily participate in online group projects, but I want you to know that I have great respect for your vast knowledge and your willingness and energy in sharing it.
I think the tabs are a great idea. They make things much easier to find. Thanks
I think the way you have done is super. I have used the search box on a couple of occasions but this quick and easy. Thank you
I like it. I always forget the search box.
Keep up the good work. It is very helpful to see all the groupings.
I think it’s great! After all, newcomers to your site mightn’t think to scroll down for the category list at the page bottom.
Could I make one suggestion? Newbies looking for stitch tutorials won’t necessarily know to look under the TAST FAQ tab. Instead of re-creating the content on the tutorial page, however, you could either add a secondary menu under the Tutorials tab which includes a link to the TAST FAQ or make a subheading on the Tutorials page for stitch tutorials that tells the newbie where to go for them.
Triche – that is a good idea and I have just done it! Thanks
