Once again I have grouped together two of the details found on block 80 of my I dropped the button Box Crazy Quilt.
The first is line of sheaf stitch that is worked in hand dyed silk thread that is approximately the same thickness as #5 cotton perle thread.
The seam at right angles to it is interlaced herringbone stitch also worked in #5 cotton perle thread.
The next detail, a cluster of buttons sits at the base of this seam. The buttons are fun but I enjoyed the seed bead tassel finished with a tiny set of red dice. They add a fun touch!
