Beyond TAST Week 24

Top Knotted Buttonhole is a variety of buttonhole stitch which works well as decorative edging stitch and holds curves well. When worked in a circle as a disk, it creates a decorative little flower. You can also vary the length of the arms to create patterns or use it as a couching stitch to hold down novelty threads. If you wanted a real challenge you could combine both stitches and try Crossed buttonhole with knots on the top of the bars! Experiment with different angles, sizes and shapes created by the stitch.
