TAST break week

TAST break week

This is TAST Break Week 1. Last week, I mentioned that we would have a catch-up week. If you are up to date with your homework, take a little break. I don’t know a stitcher who has not got other projects to work on – so this is your chance

For those of you who are in catch-up mode, this week gives you a little time. Catch-up weeks are important. It is really easy to fall a bit behind as we all have busy lives. What I hope to prevent is people slipping behind, then getting discouraged, as the main aim of TAST and the reason I run it, is that I love embroidery and I love to introduce people to embroidery, so I want to see everyone succeed. And here at Pintangle, I also have a chance to take a breath, and work on my own UFOs (unfinished objects) — so you see, we’re all in the same boat really. That said on Thursday I will still be here with the next tumbling block in the Diamonds are Forever quilt.   TAST will be back here next week with another stitch and I’m so looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.

In the meanwhile enjoy some eye candy from me. You can read about it here

It introduces techniques to encourage your creative interpretations of stitches. I guide you towards discovering play-points in your embroidery by varying the height and width; by stacking stitches; or by filling multiple rows with the same stitch. 1. I just ordered your book from Amazon and it arrives tomorrow. I am soooooo excited. I have done all sorts of dressmaking, crochet, knitting, painting and character dolls all my life but have never set my hand to the freehand embroidery in this book. I can barely wait for it to arrive. The pictures I could access on Amazon ‘Look Inside’ have inspired me so much. I’m having to take some down time and think your book will be the perfect companion and am already packing a portable kit so I can ‘take with.’ Recently I have purchased four embroidery books and each was a big disappointment. I wish I had seen yours before I bought these!!!!!! Oh well. At least I am headed in the right direction now.
