This area is part of section 38 on the For Love of Stitching band sampler. This band is adapted needleweaving worked to represent charred and burnt tree trunks.
I explained when I introduced this section I created the sampler after the Victorian fires.
Size:
The For Love of Stitching Band Sampler is 15 cm (6 inches) wide. It consists of different strips of fabric which are are stitched together to form one long strip. It currently measures 24.8 yards or 22.75 metres long and I have more bands to add.

Week 18 Crossed Buttonhole stitch was new to me. I would still rather do the plain old Buttonhole stitch.
