Take a Stitch Tuesday Week 2 Beyond TAST
For Beyond TAST this week I am going to suggest you explore Back Stitch Trellis. This filling stitch is great because it works up easily and quickly. It looks great if you use a hand-dyed variegated thread. The changes of colour create very interesting effects. This stitch is also an example of how you can use a linear stitch as a filling stitch. You simply arrange it in a grid!
Where to share your Take a Stitch Tuesday Week 2 samples
If you are new to hand embroidery the challenge is to learn the stitch and share what you have learned. If you are an experienced embroiderer, enjoy Beyond TAST and give your work a modern twist. And of course, share it online so beginners can see what can be done with a little imagination.
If you are doing the design challenge you have a month to work on your design and stitch it up.
So the idea is to stitch a sample, photograph it, share it in the Take a Stitch Tuesday facebook group or use the hashtags are #TASTembroidery and #PintangleTAST on Instagram.

I’m interested in joining in and becoming and participating in this group. I’m new please explain how to get started. I see there are new participants and returning. What is suggested as fabric or threads to use. Do we just start with the week shown stitches and build a pattern or design onto fabric. Do I just start to follow and participate. Do I need to post weekly on Facebook? I’ve done some embroidery but want to get back into it. Thanks for bringing me up to date. I really would like to adventure out into crazy quilting.
