A few weeks ago Jerry was in Copenhagen and he paid a trip to the National Museum and has recently loaded photographs of bronze age clothing that were preserved in Danish bogs. I think some of the historical costumers will be interested to see these images.

[…] I feel I should respond to the message left by gentleman on Sharon’s blog, commenting on my post on the ancient textiles at the National Museum of Denmark at Copenhagen. He is claiming that the images show Iron Age clothing, whereas the the pictures are actually of Bronze Age clothing. I refer the gentleman to p.160 of the museum guide “Nationalmuseets – Arbejdsmark 2000″ published by the National Museum in 2001 (ISBN 87-89384-76-8). The clothing in question therefore comes from the early Bronze Age. […]
The page posted by Jerry does not show Bronze Age clothing, but in fact, Iron Age!

The website of the National Museum in Denmark is being redesigned, so no info is available on their site at the moment.
