CQ Mag online has been released. For those who are new to the online crazy quilting community online, CQ Mag online is a community run, not for profit, free ezine published online 4 times a year. It is written by crazy quilters for crazy quilters and is usually packed with tips, tricks, ideas, techniques and advice from people who have a needle in their hand a good part of any week.
As usual this issue is full of lots of goodies but today I will focus on two or three articles that sparked my interest
Of course this is the time of year where I am on the look out for Christmas ideas. Gail Odegaard has written a piece on how to make a Crazy Quilted Victorian Stocking.
Marie Alton has focused directly on this time of year and illustrated how to make two CQ ornaments in ‘Tis The Season!: A Pair of “Giftable” CQ Ornaments
Cindy Thury Smith has provided instructions on Why Not Try A Radial Pincushion? When I saw them I immediately thought how these would also make great tree decorations.
Jo Newsham has illustrated a very interesting technique in Finishing a Block with Fusible Interfacing. (I am going to give this a go for a few Christmas decorations)
I was really taken with Pat Winter’s idea in From Wooden Bead to Bohemian Pendant and the same idea is applied in Covering a Wooden Bangle Bracelet. My brain was immediately running to the many simple shapes I could cover this way and then hand on the tree.
To top off My Christmas ideas Lynn Schoeffler has shown us how to cover a box top with Stacy Street
OK I have spoken about more than a couple of articles in this issue of CQ Mag Online. There are loads more. Do go and check it out.
Cool beans! I’ll definetly check it out, thanks. :):):):)
