This is a heads up for anyone who has wanted to design fabric. I was a bit slow to realise this (blog moving and all) but Spoonflower is a service that enables you to design and then have your fabric printed onto quilting weight cotton fabric. This is a print on demand service for fabric.
Spoonflower also has a blog. So you can see what people are using the service for.
I think those folks that sell on Etsy will be very excited at this.
You need to register then upload a 150 DPI, JPG or TIF file. Designs can be centered or repeated across the fabric and they ship international.
If your mind is buzzing with ideas for a very personal Christmas gift to a fellow quilter it takes a few weeks to get into your hands. That said this may just make me play with illustrator a little more!
