This section of the sampler was worked mid to late 2008.
Size:
The For Love of Stitching Band Sampler is 15 cm (6 inches) wide. It consists of different strips of fabric which are are stitched together to form one long strip. It currently measures 24.8 yards or 22.75 metres long and I have more bands to add.

I see a good start to an owl by using the 2 outer sections in the photo separately. I think I've said (a long time ago) that I am in awe of your band sampler. What a great way to learn stitches, play with variations in threads, and in your case, commemorate some events happening in the world at the time. I know you wrote that you started it as a teaching aid, but sometimes I wonder who has learned more – your students or you.
