Do you have trouble matching your points on intersecting seams? Threads magazine has provided a tutorial to solve your problems as Susan Khalje shows you how to line it all up in Sewing Perfect Matchpoints on Intersecting Seams
This article made me realise that one of the reasons I like crazy quilting is because I never have to match my seams. That said if I have to I can do it if I have to … sneaks away now after that confession
OH! OH! OH! This was an answer to a question I didn’t even know I had! I’m doing the background of my fairy quilt in a combo of cq piecing and circles and partial circles. Some things are matching quite well and others not so well. Well, duh! I can create my "trees" by stitching the seams to make the branches!
This quilt is going to take much longer than I anticipated, but it’s going to be so much richer than I anticipated, too.
(I, too, can match seams quite well, but only with hand piecing, it seems. I think I just rush too much on the machine. I will check out this tut!)
This is one of my problems when I was just starting sewing. This is a big help that you posted. Thanks.
Not only do we never have to match seams…we never have to match anything!!! Hooray for CQ!
