This seam is embellished with a braid that is couched down with herringbone stitch
Thread:
DMC cotton floss
Placement and Foundation Fabric:
This seam buts against pieces 1,2 and 3 and piece 4 on the diagram used when I introduced block 10. In the same article I also talked about the foundation fabrics I used.
Braid:
This braid was found in remnant bag.
Dyes:
Disperse dyes (also known as transfer dyes) was used on the braid.

Herringbone is *exactly* the stitch I need to tack down a tomato vine on my new quilt. Probably with the addition of beads 🙂
