This regularly published series aims to illustrate the hand embroidered seams, embellishments and decorations on my Y2K crazy quilt.
Today I would like to share with readers a pattern for Block 72 which is another of the bright or as some crazy quilters call it “Jewel Tone” colour scheme. Click on the image and you will be taken to larger view.
It looks better to the human eye but does not photograph well ass nearly all the fabrics on the block shine or are metallic. Over the next few weeks I will share articles about the embroidery and embellishments in close detail.

what is the size of the block when finished? can I print out a larger size block?
Virgene my blocks are 6×6 inches. If you download the pattern you can scale it up in your graphics program. I have seen people make up the blocks in 8 inch and 12 inch. They both worked well
