Today I would like to share with readers a pattern for Block 72 which is another of the bright or as some crazy quilters call it “Jewel Tone” colour scheme. Click on the image and you will be taken to larger view.
It looks better to the human eye but does not photograph well ass nearly all the fabrics on the block shine or are metallic. Over the next few weeks I will share articles about the embroidery and embellishments in close detail.
- Piece 1: Metallic after 5 wear fabric
- Piece 2: Silk
- Piece 3: Devore
- Piece 4: Brocade
- Piece 5: Synthetic
- Piece 6: Silk
- Piece 7: lycra
- Piece 8: Metallic after 5 wear
Since this is a Y2K quilt I used 2001 unique pieces of fabric, lace, braids, charms, buttons or ribbons. Each piece is different. The on going item count list below represents the items documented to date in this series of articles.
