Hi All even thought the Encrusted crazy quilt class starts this week I have started block 40 so have progressed a little. This is the block totally unembellished and I thought you would like to see the ‘before’ picture. I hand dyed the doily and added it in the seam as I pieced. the colour scheme is a green/gold which I am looking forward to tackling. I hope next week I will be able to share the completed block but it will be busy teaching online so I will see how I go.

A lovely block. The doiley looks good and the colours are easy on the eye.
Didn’t feel like doing this (working on other fun stuff) but I’m grateful for the push to post, as it made me complete
another embroidered leaf for my panel.

What an excellent idea including a doily in the seam. I have several in the draw and now I know what to do with them! Look forward to watching the progress.

This colour scheme will be fun to work with, and in spite of the gold and green there is still a hint of acqua in the prints and braid.
