Stitch 80 in the Take a Stitch Tuesday (TAST) is Double whipped Chain stitch which ia great linear stitch. It produces a solid decorative line which since it is based on chain stitch will follow a curve well. Double Whipped Chain Stitch is great for outlining patterns and worth adding to anyones repertoire of stitches. It is a handy stitch to use on the edge of items too as it will wear well.
As Usual you can find a tutorial for stitch Double Whipped Chain Stitch in my Stitch Dictionary.

Next week will be the first of a 2 week break to allow people to do a little catch up stitching if they need to. If you are on track, totally addicted to TAST and do not need to catch up I will be proposing another sort of stitch related mystery challenge so stay tuned as they say.
Join in on the challenge and share what you do with Stitch ……
The challenge guidelines are on the TAST FAQ page. If you are new to hand embroidery the challenge is to learn the stitches. If you are an experienced embroiderer push these stitches in creative manner and share with beginners what can be done with a little imagination.
Where to share: Stitch a sample, photograph it, put it online on your blog, flickr site, share it on Facebook or where ever you hang out online, and leave a comment on the Double Whipped Chain Stitch page with your full web address. Don’t forget the http bit of the web address so that your address becomes a live link so that people can visit your site and see what you have done.
