Children’s book illustrations online.

I am not really one for clip or free graphic sites simply because I like to make my own. However this site is a little different as Grandma’s Graphics is providing images from antique children’s books which are now in the public domain.

These are delightful drawings created by some well known and well loved illustrators. People such as Harry Clarke who illustrated Andersen’s Fairy Tales, Margaret Tulloch, Anne Anderson and Molly Brett are represented. Grandma’s Graphics also contains a section on decorative letters which can be adapted for embroidery. Take a look in ‘Seasons and Holidays’ as well for apart from images that fall into this category there are numerous other illustrations that relate to other categories as well such as gardening and fairy godmothers. I enjoyed the Shakespeare section as well.
