Today is another example of Up and down Buttonhole worked in a feather stitch formation. This sample is worked in hand dyed thread which is the same weight as DMC Pearl 5.
Feather stitch in a bronze thread has been worked over some slubby yarn and some knitting ribbon which has been couched down. French knots are sprinkled about the place. They were worked in DMC pearl 8 thread.
The jelly fish is a plastic button that had jelly fish like qualities and the tentacles are made from Madeira Metallic opalescent white 8040. Beads and charms that fit with the under water theme are simply clustered together at the base.
