This seam embellishment is a treatment for an unusual triple rick rack I received in a swap. I stitched French knots down the middle in a thread the same weight as DMC pearl 12.
On the side of the rick rack I added five detached chain stitches arranged around a bugle bead. The chain stitches were worked in the same thread as the french knots. The thread was hand dyed by me.
