Bead Journal Project for July

Bead Journal Project for July

Most mornings recently you will find me browsing the 2007 Bead Journal Project blog as people post their progress while creating a bead journal page each month. Since there are 241 people stitching pages it is an active and inspiring challenge. All sorts of tips advice and encouragement is being shared over there.

My contribution for the month is above. It is not as heavily beaded as some but it is beaded. The start of the July found me finishing off samples for the Sumptuous surfaces workshop which is now running. So this fabric postcard size project is a record in its way of what I was thinking about. At the time my head was thinking about design and colour and how I could explain so key points. This little piece was worked to illustrate what I was writing about.

A larger version of the card is to be found on my flickr site .

Since it is a fabric postcard it also meets the 6 x 4 Lives challenge which is not swap challenge but aims to produce a fiber postcard at least once a month that records what you have been exploring, doing, or thinking about.
