This section was worked by first setting down 4 rows of herringbone stitch and then tying the top of bars with an upright cross stitch. The middle of the pattern was then filled with plastic novelty beads

Your sampler is beautiful!
Judy – next week (morning session) I will be bringing the sampler into the guild to show June M as she wants to see it – so if you want to see it again I will be there.
I am still finding the story and details of the band sampler interesting. Every so often have a flashback moment when I remember actually seeing a row of stitching when I saw the real thing in January, and much to my surprise it is often the simpler rows of stitches ……… earlier this month you showed a few rows of herringbone which I remember flashing past my eyes!
I also spend way too much time following your lead to old embroidery patterns!
Thank you ……….
