Detail
This motif is worked over a vintage ribbon. It is made up of flowers worked in padded detached chain stitch which is chain stitch worked over a small felt disk. I used a hand dyed perle #8 cotton thread. The stem of the flowers is represented using a textured knitting yarn that I couched into place then worked detached chain leaf shapes. Seed beads finished it off.

Love those padded chain stitch flowers and the novelty yarn vine!
Lin Moon – you asked about he fuzzy effect on the vine. it is a novelty knitting yarn that I couched down and fuzzy puff balls were part of it.
Hi Sharon,
Those flowers (the chain stitch over a small felt disk) are just so pretty! How did you get that great fuzzy effect on the vine? I love the little puff-balls….
Thanks,
Lin Moon
