Detail:
This block is very difficult to divide up into individual details so I am tackling areas at a time.
The most noticeable thing is a large cluster of vintage buttons but the detail I wanted to point to is two lines of up and down feather stitch one of which, runs along seam the edge of piece 4.
The seam that runs along piece 4 is covered with some edging and then buttons but I also added some embroidery. I then tucked some bugle beads into the the forks of the up and down feather stitch.
