Crazy quilt lace decoration:
This is a piece of hand dyed lace on block 38.
Originally I found the piece on a second hand jacket. It was a fairly hideous thing discovered in a thrift shop. The garment had sleeves made of this lace, so I cut the sleeves off, cut the lace in pieces, dyed it in different colours and then used small pieces in crazy quilting.
It is about an inch and quarter high.
Thread:
Some seed beads sit in the middle of the flowers but the lace is secured all around the edge with tiny stitches in regular sewing cotton of the same colour.
What is the story?
