Melissa of Honey Bees Bliss demonstrates a both a soft knot and a quilters knot, while also pointing out, that many ribbon embroiderers simply pierce the tail of the ribbons or return at the end with another needle and thread and secure the tails down.
Thanks for posting it! I hope it helps others! You know what's funny is now after a few years of doing SRE I mostly pierce tails when I used to always use knots. Interesting how our tastes change in things like this over time.
