This seam is on block 69 of the I dropped the button box Quilt. I covered it with a piece of hand dyed lace and cluster of buttons. As I said when I introduced block 69 , in this cluster of buttons there is an unusual vintage souvenir made from a pressed penny. Slouch hat pennies are an example of soldiers craft and the older ones are now collectors pieces.

pressed penny ….. reminds me of when i was a kid and dad took me out to the train tracks and showed me what a passing train would do to a penny left on the track.
its probably illegal now tho. lol
Yes this one was an ANZAC day souvenir. They are made by soldiers – this one is quite old.
