Work in Progress Wednesday and a catch up cuppa

screenshotI don’t have a progress report this week as behind the scenes I  have set up a new Studio art journals flickr group for people interested in studio art journals. Yes, I know … sneaking around behind the scenes being a geeky type person and not doing my stitching. I hope I am forgiven.

The group is for anyone who want to develop their creativity using a studio/visual/art journal sketchbook format. There are lots of types of visual journals and I would like to be inclusive rather than trying to put creative activity into different boxes. The idea is to create a supportive environment in which to share studio/visual/art journal and sketchbook page spreads and to keep creative ideas flowing. We can use the discussion area on flikr to chat about the process of journalling, art supplies, creativity etc.

As well as setting up the flickr group I have been reassessing my blogging goals and practice after I went to the Problogger Event in Queensland. It was such a stimulating event that it takes a while for me to process all the information – no doubt the process of digesting it all will continue. The important thing however is to apply the ideas and doing that takes time! But for what it is worth since my return I have revamped my newsletter and now have flickr group established.

What have you done this week towards your stitching goals?

If you have worked a stitching project leave a comment. If you include the http bit of your web address in the comment it will become a link and folks can visit and see what you have done.

Work in Progress Wednesdays (WIP Wednesdays)  is not exactly a challenge as it is more like a support group! The aim is to encourage people to complete  languishing projects or WISPs (Works in Slow Progress) or completing UFOs (unfinished objects) or those in the process of de-stashing. The idea is, that if you regularly report publicly on a project you are more likely to pick it up and work it a little.
