I was so thrilled to find your block #10. I want to make a crazy quilt, but I had no idea how to start. I see I’m going to need to get out my sewing machine. my embroidery skills aren’t lacking so that’s not a problem, but I have been trying to assemble a quilt by hand (didn’t work). Will start over. Should I press seam allowances before sewing pieces together??
Hi Linda – yes you pice on a foundation cloth using a stitch and flip method – I really should organise a tutorial on how to do it but in the meanwhile here is a link to lady who has written one https://www.needlework-tips-and-techniques.com/crazy-quilt-block.html
I press everything flat as I go – hope that helps

Lots of love and admiration
