For the Love of Stitching Sampler Band 313

This sampler band 313 is a line of feather stitch. It is a band that is part of my long band sampler which you can read about here. If you want to see the line of embroidery in context you can read about it here. The foundation row has been further embellished with seed beads.

Thread 

A hand dyed cotton thread about the same weight as perle 8

Fabric:

The foundation fabric is teatowel/Dress linen

Procion dyes used on the thread

Size:

The sampler is 15 cm (6 inches) wide and all sections are stitched together in one long band sampler.

The For Love of Stitching Band Sampler currently measures 96 feet 5 inches (2,938.78 centimeters), or  32.138 yards which is 29.3878 meters. It is still growing…

This section of the sampler was worked during 2007.

    Although I am a beader, not a stitcher, I am finding your blog simply fascinating. The pictures of your work are inspirational. A question about this stitch: do you add the beads as you go, or do you make the stitches and then come back and add the beads?
