Description
This seam ripper and stiletto combination is handcrafted with care from the finest sustainably grown Australian and international plantation timber and will make a beautiful, yet practical addition to your sewing box that will last you for years to come.
This one is gold-plated and beautifully sharp. The ripper is turned with a bulb at each end to ensure a secure grip whichever tool you use (ripper or stiletto) and they feel great in the hand.
Jerry has provided a marking system so it’s easy to remember which end is which:
- two rings for the ripper (which has two points),
- one ring for the stiletto (which has just one point). Just count the points and match them to the rings.
I recommend you use a twisting motion when inserting the tool into the handle – that way, the rubber holding rings will last longer.
And don’t worry, Jerry doesn’t use timbers that are on the CITES endangered timbers list so there will be no issues with sending these worldwide – all his timber is sustainably sourced. The rippers are finished and sealed, so don’t worry if you spill your tea or coffee on them.
Because they are hand-turned, each one is individual – so there may be some minor variation in shape and colour from the one displayed here.
So all up, these beautifully designed and hand-turned seam rippers make great gifts for the stitcher in your life, for your own sewing box.
