Sites worth bookmarking Coats & Clark

screenshot of websiteCoats & Clark’s Needlecraft Centre hosts numerous (the site claims hundreds) of free patterns that you can embroider, sew, quilt, knit and crochet.

For instance in the hand embroidery section they have free projects, instructional material and feature articles. Recently in their feature articles they have published some cutwork embroidery patterns that date from the 60’s and some Swedish weaving patterns.

This style of embroidery is also known as Huck embroidery and there is not  a lot of information about it online.  This is just one of the hidden gems that are to be discovered if you explore this site.

Coats also run a newsletter that includes free patterns for crochet, knitting and sewing.

So take some time out over your lunch break and browse the site.
