TAST Week 28 Highlights

up and down buttonhole hand embroidered sampleThis week some  people had trouble with  Up and Down buttonhole stitch but others found it interesting and enjoyed it. Once again I took far too long trying to decided what samples to feature. If these wet your appetite follow some of the links in the comments, on week 28 as there is many more interesting explorations of this stitch to be seen.

First up I want to encourage you over to visit  Fat-quarter as Annet has illustrated some interesting varieties in her samples. One variety  crossed up and down buttonhole is a documented variety  but I am sure Annet re-discovered this variety herself and she has photographed how she did it.
