A small daisy like motif is featured today. It is worked in a hand dyed silk thread which is the same weight as DMC pearl 8.
The daisies are worked in Bullion stitches of about 8 wraps. Then each stitch is surrounded with a detached chain. The stems are worked in stem stitch.
I think the heat in the Northern hemisphere is getting to people as stitching activities are certainly slowing down across all the blogs not just those who are following the 100 details in a 100 days series.
Murial however is stitching as she started the series late she is steadily adding a couple of seam embellishments a day to her block.
Debbie of Needle Lil More Time to Sew has featured a an arrangement of bullion roses in an urn.
Annie Whitsed of Annies Crazy World has featured a twisted cord on a bag. This type of cord is an ideal way to finish off crazy quilted projects.
Pam Kellogg of Kitty & Me Designs is away but yesterday posted 5 embroidery designs
For anyone just swinging by this series of posts are listed under 100 details for 100 days in this blog. Over on Flickr it is associated with the Crazyquilting Group and photos are tagged 100detailsin100days
An overdue thanks, in general, for your postings. I’ve been (quietly) enjoying them.
Thanks for this flower idea. It’s just exactly what I need for a project I’m working on!
