Stitches:
This band illustrates single feather stitch on the first row. The next row is a variation of Herringbone stitch which has had a small Back stitch added top and bottom and the last row consists of Palestrina stitch
Thread:
The first row is a hand dyed cotton thread the same weight as perle 8. The second row is a hand dyed cotton crochet thread and the last is a hand dyed silk thread.
All embroidery threads are hand dyed by me.
Fabric:
This section of the sampler is worked on tea towel linen which is not quite an even weave.

Size:
All samples are 15 cm (6 inches) wide and stitched together in one long band sampler.
The sampler is currently 44 ft 5 inches or 533 inches (1353.83 centimetres) or 14.8 yards (13.53 metres) long and still being added to.
