This detail was created by placing a button on top of a crochet medallion. I found a table runner in a thrift shop which was partly complete. In the bag was a number of these crochet medallions some stitched together others still single. I dyed them all different colours and it feels like I have been using them in crazy quilting projects ever since!

What is the story?
